There is a massive amount of diversity in human biology. More than most

The US. And according to this article it is not even 10% (5% or lower):

Here's the latest misinformation propaganda being promulgated by these
atypical personality disordered individuals and pandemic trolls:

"You DON'T NEED a vaccination if you have a sign in your yard or wear a t-
shirt that says 'Happy 60th Birthday, Barack Obama'" or words to that
effect.

Tell all your friends and neighbors NOT to believe this.

You might appreciate the way the mainstream media is NOT reporting on any
infections due to that Obama Birthday Celebration super-spreader event? It
was August 6-9, 2021. It's the old "If a tree falls in a forest, and
nobody is there to hear it, does it make any noise" conundrum. Also notice
our failed Fourth Estate and CPP PR organizations never reported the actual
number of attendees after widely parroting the claim that the event would
be "significantly scaled back due to current COVID-19 Delta Varient
concerns"... Residents of Martha's Vinyard take issue with those
narratives.

Google for "how many actually attended Obama's 60th birthday celebration"
and "original source for attendance at Obama's 60th birthday celebration"
to help understand how mainstream media and Big Tech throw a blanket over
facts essential to any given reasonable context.

"They" only report what "they" want you to hear and "they" blackout what
"they" don't want you to hear...

Is it any wonder people simply don't trust our government, our news media
or Big Tech to provide - or provide access to - relevant information?

"War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength." -- 1984 by
George Orwell

(And all the mental midgets go "This is 2021, not 1984.")

M'k.

Maybe not directly, as I said it could be visiting a hospital.

Many video games have one... but the choices are limited to what the
programmers considered. I am not, though, in any way against such games, I
just prefer the table top cooperative story telling ones more. Or maybe I
would like computer ones more if I gave the more of a chance... but to each
their own.

All bar three states are 2% or less. I don't see a problem here. The
vaccine isn't 100% and 98% is pretty great coverage.

For a start younger people are less likely to get sick and also less likely
to have been vaccinated. The elderly have weaker immune systems so the
vaccine may not always work. Plus lots of other reasons.

Did not realize it was quite that high. Even better news than I thought. Do
you know when the reporting was from? Does it include data from before the
Delta variant was widespread? If so I would expect the 2% to increase some
(not much, though).

Not enough for me to be concerned it could be me. It's under 1 in 100.

No, common sense is agreed upon by everyone, that's what the word common means.

For example, having done X three times and broken your leg on all three occasions, you can conclude you shouldn't do it again.

So when people disagree neither can claim their view is "common sense". OK.
This discounts your usage.

Unless there is a damned good reason to do it again, I would agree.

You are not concerned about other people suffering and dying. That is an issue
with you.

From the above link:

"Methodology

The Times asked all 50 states and Washington, D.C., to provide data on
breakthrough infections, hospitalizations and deaths of fully vaccinated
people, roughly spanning back to the first months of the vaccination
campaign at the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. Many of the states
provided data through June or July, which may not account for the recent
surge in Delta variant infections. In every state providing information,
hospitalizations and deaths among fully vaccinated people accounted for
a small minority of the totals."

Thanks. That answers the question... and suggests the rates will go up some. I
cannot point to sources quickly, but I think for the Delta variant I have read
preliminary studies say 5% or so, which is still pretty darn good.

No. It means "basic". The problem with "common sense" isn't agreed upon.
This thread is a perfect example. You're claiming something as obviously
"common sense", yet no-one agrees. So by your definition what you're
claiming is common sense actually isn't.

I'm glad we've cleared that up.

That's evidence of cause and effect. Again by your definition of common
doesn't require - and actually goes against - any evidence.

Really?

How many people do you know?

How many in your family?

How many friends?

Why do you want all of them to live with what you find as an acceptable
risk?

I suspect he has no friends and probably doesn't get on with his family.

You need to learn the difference between harming others and not protecting others.

If I run you over, I've harmed you.

If I don't stop you from crossing the road in front of a bus, I've not protected you.

It doesn't have to be. We are weak in many ways, best to weed out those that fail something. This is how evolution works, or used to before we fucked up and started intervening, letting the useless people survive and procreate.

And if you walk around not wearing a mask, or you run a red light, or you
drive on the left, you are needlessly risking the lives of others based on
your own ignorance or sense of entitlement.

The word "chance" is important above. If I do something which will result in your death, that's bad. If I do something which has a 1 in a million chance of your death, who cares?

Yes they did, whenever they say you protect others with your mask but not yourself.
