The variance is great, some are much stronger/weaker than others. Allow the weak to go away, and all is well.

Most people voluntarily have home insurance. Most people voluntarily wear masks.

No, just a large number. 50% oughta do it.

Now, think about this:

Situation 1: One house near a forest.
Situation 2: 500 houses near another forest.

Logically, the 500 should pay a lot less towards keeping the forest not on fire. But your left wing bullshit makes them pay the same.

Because you seem to think it reacts differently depending if the virus is going into or out of your mouth.

Well since you think they're one way, turning it round must reverse it.

Do you think you're a wimp if you don't want people to die needlessly?

Interesting... ...no: just sad.

People with mortgages do not have the option -- they must have insurance. Many
others do get insurance, but it does not cover the things we talked about (say
paying for taking care of the forest fires around me). And many people do
voluntarily wear masks and take other common sense precautions, but others are
suing over wearing them and are otherwise being foolish. It is part of why the
US is seeing such a high resurgence of COVID. People simply will not do even
the basics to not harm others without their being laws and regulations to
prevent that.

In fact, that is at best what laws and regulations are for: to reduce the
chance of people harming each other and to have legal consequences when that
does happen.

Certainly better than 0%.

People in cities pay more taxes. Your claim is simply incorrect.

What "seems" to you has precisely nothing to do with what I said or believe.

Again, this is a fine example of you failing to understand and you not having
common sense.

You make a lot of very bad assumptions.

And guess what? Road deaths are lower than ever as are accidental deaths.

Gut feelings and common sense are no judge of what's right or wrong.

Would you have volunteered to dig the death pits? If we hadn't done
anything we'd have had to bury the equivalent of the population of Glasgow
or worse.

You'd be dead by now. Probably before you were 5.

Exactly. I'll take evidence any day.

That does not mean I will not use my own views to judge evidence and look to
getting better evidence. My favorite example is for some time the best
evidence I could find said that classroom size had little or no impact on
teaching. As a teacher that was VERY much against my views, but I accepted I
might have my own biases. I did keep looking at the research and newer
research backed what the old research had not.

During the time I and the research disagreed I noted it, and I held to my
view, but I also knew I could not really use my own intuition as a good
argument for making change. Does not mean if I were in charge of a school I
would not have done would I could to keep sizes down!

Common sense is an personnel analysis of the facts in your environment.
A political hack or government bureaucrat in some far of city who has
never been in your environment can not make binding decision on your
actions.

Common sense is not just what one personally decides.

What is common sense is not something different people will agree on... where
evidence you can at least point to sources and backing.

LOL! That is one of the primary reasons Covid is so infectious,
ESPECIALLY by un-vaccinated people. Asymptomatic cases. Ever heard of
them? Certainly not the primary difference of vaccinated people. It is
more of a problem with Delta, in either case.

It's an excuse to justify your personal prejudice. The biggest problem is
that people then apply this bias to others by claiming it as "common
sense".

Of course they can. That's their job. Whether you like it or not has
nothing to do with "common sense".

Bullshit. You'll have to explain this crazy idea.

When everyone dies from the same thing it's not pathetic. When only some die, they're pathetic.

No, I always chose the best MB, CPU, GPU, etc for the computer, depending on what the user wanted. In this case it was quite easy, I looked up a small list of Mac OS compatible boards and picked the one with the best performance and connections. Normally I'm choosing from the entire list, as Windows isn't fussy and will run on anything, but Mac OS is a piece of shit and has limited hardware compatibility.

It's obvious. What I built was basically just a Mac.
