With a population of 7 billion, I don't give a fuck if half of them die, it would make the world more sensible.

No, conduction not convection in a solid. Convection would need the metal to move.

All laptops I've seen don't have much venting underneath apart from the fan intake. The exhaust of the fan often blows a bit across the whole thing and out of the keyboard though.

Ok, maybe the GPU. But everything else is pretty standard.

And I disagree on the update. If any combination is ok with version X, it will be ok with version X+1, otherwise Apple would be killing off genuine Apples too.

The insurance, since you have a policy which includes fire.

My neighbour is free to wear one himself.

I'd say negligible compared to a fan. It might be enough when the computer is idling, but if the fan runs at all, it's 10 times more cooling.

Maybe, maybe not. If it's vertical, warm air from the bottom component is rising past the next component so it cools not so good.

Then you should be like me. If you stop an annoying noise, you just end up hearing the next loudest one.

I have heard horror stories of folks who have one only to have Apple change
things and make them no longer work (with the new upgrade). Even have this on
minor updates.

Not sure how common it is though... I have never made one.

Worked recently with Apple on some odd issues a neighbor was having. In the
end, I admit, they were not of much help... ended up doing a backup, wiping
the drive, and starting from scratch. Never had to do that before. They were
having very weird permissions issues... things would be allowed sometimes
until they gave permission, then they were not allowed at all. Tried a new

With the early Apple IIe systems you had to pop a chip out and turn it around
