You don't find a transform like this without trial-and-error. Why it works is too complicated to explain in a post. It would take a long-winded table of possible cases.

It can detect any 32-bits burst error and can detect any 2 1-bit errors in a frame up to 128 KB.

Libima is fast enough that waiting for decompression is not annoying, unless it's a 5 MB file.

Apples shouldn't have switched to Arm. It's possible to make a better ISA by using compression knowledge.

The Wilson Hammer is kind of like that but because they add extra weight, the head is smaller so the sweet spot is smaller.
