I tell you what we should do. We should just take a break from one another however, long it takes . a day ?a month ? a year? Maybe we can do better after that. the only slight problem with that is how do we know when the break's over if nobody's writing? telepathy?

oh, don't worry about it . at my front gate the other day a train went by with coal cars, 400 all together going to a local power plant here. a town in China had a temperature of 125°F this year , we put about 40,000,000 tons of CO2 in the atmosphere each year, far more than can be removed by plants and such . The carbon that was put into the ground over millions of years by nature is being released into the atmosphere in just a few years by us. so each summer will become hotter and hotter and hotter unless some real drastic actions are taken to reduce or eliminate fossil fuel use . maybe I can come and move in with you , Britain probably won't be too hot for a long time.

see the way this works is if somebody dumped you, you need to immediately quit running to them because they will take your writing to them as a sign that you still like them but they will never ride to you again and every time you ride to them, they will feel a little bit prouder that you're writing to them but they're ignoring you and so if you write to someone who has dumped you is counterproductive it's just like digging a hole in the ceiling it back in especially when you discovered $100 million worth of gold at the bottom of the Pitt have a nice day and eat more pecans

see what happens is suppose persons A and B had a long time correspondence and then person B wants out of it and quits writing. if person A is fool enough to keep writing what happens is that person B is not going to write back but will note that person A is still writing so person B continues the sham relationship by every now and then sending person A some kind of a little throwaway nothing and then if person A is fool enough to keep writing they'll write forever for no reason and person B's gratification out of it is they can say to themself that person A still likes me but I don't really care for them much and by just writing a little piece of throwaway nothing every now and then person B can keep person A on a string because person A is such an idiot.
Doing tit for tat solves all that.

so you say that you'll get around to my portrait maybe someday maybe if you're in the mood but if you're not in the mood, you probably won't do it but if u don't do it, you won't charge for it and then also since I right so much you just don't have any ideas to send since I've already used up them all up even though, if you go by the Magritte painting, "this is not a PIPE " then there are almost an Infiniti of ideas out there so anyway, I'll be on tenderhooks to hear back after this post to you hope everything is swell in Britain and remember I don't think anybody has a collection of my hand written letters, although it doesn't matter because I'll never amount to anything
