How is spam dealt with on Usenet and why did it become such a huge issue in the past? It seems like, at least here on the rocksolid hierarchy spam isn't a problem. I always read about spam being a huge issue but I wasn't around at the time

The motives I don't know. I assume it's just to bring down tor hidden services. Probably to convince people that darknet sites are unreliable and to use sites that are easier to spy on.

The server has been getting dos attacks for months now. The patterns change a bit over time. All from tor.
