Hi David,

Would it be possible to tweak the current HTML page:

$ curl -s "https://dicom.nema.org/medical/dicom/2023b/" | grep meta
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="1;url=http://example.com">

This is "borrowed" from:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5411538/how-to-redirect-one-html-page-to-another-on-load

But the SO author expected the user to replace "example.com" with the actual link, which is "http://medical.nema.org/medical/dicom/current/" in our case.

Thanks !

---

<rant>

This is annoying to download fixed version when this is actually the current version:

$ curl -s "https://dicom.nema.org/medical/dicom/2023b/source/docbook/part15/part15.xml" | head -5 | tail -1
<title>404 - File or directory not found.</title>

But:

$ curl -s "https://dicom.nema.org/medical/dicom/2023a/source/docbook/part15/part15.xml" | head -4 | tail -1
<subtitle>DICOM PS3.15 2023a - Security and System Management Profiles</subtitle>

oh well...

Hi Mathieu

I fixed the incorrect metadata tag, but I still don't think that will do what you want.

I know it is irritating, but the redirect is to avoid having two complete copies of the standard,
one at "current" and one at "yyyy[a-e]", or a complete set of redirects for every sub-folder and
file.
