Hello All,

When the attribute value is empty or if the attribute it self is not present, then how can we say that the image is lossy compression or lossless compression?

I am referring to this tag to check Derived Image pixel data is not significantly changed from one of the source images.

Is there any other way to say if the image is lossy compression or lossless compression?

Thanks!

Is it compressed now? TransferSyntaxUID

Has it ever been lossy compressed even if it is not now in a lossy Transfer Syntax? DerivationDescription, LossyImageCompression or if not present, then a mathematical analysis of the pixel data would be required (e.g., search the tampering and forensics re. JPEG image compression, recompression detection, etc.)

Has it ever been losslessly compressed? Who cares?

David
