I know this is off topic, but I can't find an appropriate
newsgroup. A link would we appropriate. My buddy google has
given me links to the appropriate RFCs, but like most RFCs they
are written for people who already know the information, not a
novice. Despite being OT I am writing in PHP so I ask here.

I am writing an application that takes an .ical file and
displays the current week's appointments for a cognitively
impaired woman (a dynamic whiteboard of appointments).

I have everything working but the repetitive appointments and
despite having read the rfcs I can't figure out how to calculate
the dates.

I really need someone who knows the .ical format to give me a hand.

I know there was a php calendar group, but the most recent post
was in 2015. I suspect they have become inactive.
