In order to obtain merger control approval of the European Commission for the merger with Varian, Siemens Healthineers entered into certain legally binding Commitments with the European Commission, which became part of the EU clearance decision on February 19, 2021. The Commitments are aimed at ensuring interoperability between Siemens Healthineers/Varian products and third-party radiotherapy products. As part of the Commitments, third-party vendors may send written requests for support in the scenarios defined in the Commitments to Siemens Healthineers via dedicated email addresses.
