I just repurposed a computer and installed Ubuntu 20.04.3 on it.
I'm trying to install YottaDB, and I'm getting this error message:

$ sudo ./ydbinstall.sh --utf8 default --verbose
Utility [ld] is needed by ydbinstall.sh but not found. Exiting.

Any suggestions?

Next hurdle: I'm trying to invoke YottaDB from a cgi-script (worked fine with GT.M 5.3)...
When I execute the script directly from a terminal, it works as expected.
When it's executed by Apache, it returns an error code 64768. Any idea what that code means?

Ed, the GT.M V5.3 series is so old that cowboys were riding dinosaurs in the Westerns of the day! Can you share the script, please? Or try upgrading to GT.M V6.0-000 first, and then upgrade to YottaDB. Thank you.

I actually liked those dinosaurs...
But I already found a better way of doing things is much simpler, and has the advantage that it works.
So, if anyone knows the meaning of that error code, I still would like to know that, but it is not really important anymore.

And, actually, I'm not upgrading. I had this old computer sitting around doing nothing, so I installed Ubuntu on it,
added YottaDB, and then started trying to get M[UMPS] code to work through a web interface. It works now.
