Job Description
Cloud Architect/Senior Cloud Engineer
Remote
Long term contract
The cloud architect/engineer is responsible for designing and implementing cloud computing solutions. This includes designing the various cloud provider like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, designing the cloud application architecture, and designing the cloud architecture.
Good knowledge of at least one operating system: Linux, Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, Windows. My preference is any Linux operating system (e.g., Ubuntu or Red Hat), but prior experience as an administrator or architect in any of the well-known operating systems is also helpful.
Good understanding of networking: TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS. I suggest that you have some familiarity with these concepts before pursuing a role as a cloud architect.
Computer programming languages: You will need at least a minimal understanding of a programming or scripting language like Python. This is probably not a must, but it will definitely help.
Terraform: hands on with Terraform scripting, creating, updating, deleting the sites, configuring load balancers, deploying applications.
Hand-on: Working on AWS and Azure which included Routing, Security Groups, R52, EC2, VCP/ Vnet, Express route, TGW, IGW, Load Balancers.
F5: Working knowledge of F5 products like Volterra, Cloud Applications.
Security: Security in the cloud is important, and consequently, a high-level understanding of key security concepts is a must for a Cloud Architect. So an initial knowledge of some basic security concepts, such as firewalls is necessary.
Application support: Assist with infrastructure migration strategies, such as mass application transfers to the cloud. Performing activities such as deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management inside the cloud framework that has been created. Conducting migrations to transfer tools and other aspects into the cloud, as needed.
