Hello XHforum,
I used Clipper87 up to the early 2000s then switched to Access. I have dropped on Xharbour.org and thought I’d take a look and maybe attempt to convert some of the old programs but have ended up confused at the starting grid.
Looking at VXH 10272 as a free copy on xharbour.org I notice that it is also sold on Xharbour.exe. Maybe VXH.exe 10272 here is an older version than the paid version? Or does it have features removed from a particular paid-for version?

However, moving swiftly on. If I download VXH.zip for VXH.exe and also download the Xharbour binaries Rev 10272, then install them all in the same folder set. Then VXH.exe falls over with four missing DLLs ; fbclient.dll, librarysql.dll, freeimage.dll and ace32.dll

Are there some installation notes or readme files for Visual Xharbour installs?

You need a binary distribution from here:

http://xharbour.org/index.asp?page=download/windows/binaries_win

and the matching C compiler. BCC are here:

http://xharbour.org/index.asp?page=download/windows/required_win

I cannot help you on VHX, sorry.
