Since this is an unmoderated Usenet newsgroup, there isn't any choice but to block them on your end.
How to do that depends on what software you use to read Usenet groups.

This is not completely clear to me. This list and probably all the other remaining vestiges of the ancient Usenet are hosted (perhaps in part as a community service) by Google -- note the repository address comp.lang.lisp@groups.GOOGLEgroups.com . It's unclear whether or not these hateful and possibly-violence-inducing spam postings might run afoul legally within the EU or Italy specifically, but since Google is currently under pressure (privacy, etc.) by the EU, they might be inclined to take action to clean things up -- or perhaps, just cancel the whole group.

In google group interface you can "report message as abuse"
and further "for hateful and violent content".
I am not sure if Google takes any actions against their posters
who are reported like that but they have some money and desire
to "do the right thing" so they may.

No. The Usenet (including cll) still exists without Google. I'm
reading your post via a different server. Note that I'm also posting
over said server, even if my post will eventually show up on the web
interface to cll that Google makes available.

Is not true. This post comes from other server, your post I read using
other server. Using nntp. Only thing stopping usenet revival is that,
unlike irc, no-one cares.

In addition, even getting rid of the email or IP address of the violent
spammers doesn't really help when pseudonyms are essentially free. In
the old days, a fair amount could be done by killing massiveley
crossposted articles, but now computer cycles and bandwidth are also
essentially free, so spammers can avoid that block.

I multi select and reported spam. But as stated, no good way to stop anonymous proton mail spamming, in hope for google to block or filter at content level.

I guess google wants the dns. like an open relay of 1980 - i though they
stopped doing this. do we need a blacklist? I don'y care much for
google. they are assholes.
