I was wondering what others are doing or going to do about the discontinuation of Advantage (End of 2025)?

we will continue to use it, but slowly change to other databases.

Only because they are discontinuing it, it will not stop to work.
There is a lot of software around that is discontinued or where the
producer does not exists anymore.

We have started to migrate to other database (for the moment PostgreSQL).
I ask you, do you know from where you can download products related to Advantage Database Server prior to version 12 (e.g. ODBC clients, etc). I am trying to access https://devzone.advantagedatabase.com to download what I need but it redirects me to https://community.sap.com/?Key=1.
We currently have clients using versions 9.1 and 11.1.

That is pretty much what I was thinking too.
In your applications where you are slowly changing to other databases, what kind of databases are you changing to and what has been the level of effort/time?

Follow-up questions for you:
What has been your level of effort/time where you have started to migrate to PostgreSQL?
Are you having good results with it?

we are changing to PostgreSQL.

Since we think that changing from a sequential database like DBF or ADS
normally implies also a change in the user interaction, I cannot give
you an answer about the effort or time.
In fact it is a complete rewrite, and we change migrate table after
table.
For the integration into VO we are using a COM module based on our own
X# source code.

I don't suppose anyone has played with MariaDB using the Aria storage engine? From what I've read it should be a successor to MySQL's MyISAM storage engine: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/aria-faq/

It was about the only result when I was looking for ISAM alternatives to ADS. It seems like it might be a fit, but looks like we'd be loosing support for transactions, and seems to be a bit of a work in progress. I'm also not sure that the storage engine hasn't been abandoned.
