The reason I used wordpad was becuse I was on my Window 10 computer and it looked worse in Notepad. I can re-send it in Edit or Notepad++ if you like.

If you really want to know the contents of a file, use a hexadecimal dump utility/viewer, e.g.

See those "1B" characters? Those are control characters (hex 1B is ASCII ESC).
You can't view those characters correctly in most text editors.

i think you linked the one you used blocksave with, not the one with
animation mode.

but he's saying in his original file he has no cursor positioning codes.

years ago i made a little cheat sheet program, but ironically it
moves the cursor position and blocks some of the display

In vi use the setlist command to view those escape characters.
