Dobbs rewrites this, it is invalid precedent. States are
liable for denying needed abortions, e.g. TX.

Like the novelty cooked up by Darby, Moody, Scofield, and others? I'd been
watching 'The Chosen'. The creator is Dallas Jenkins, son of Jerry Jenkins
who wrote the 'Left Behind' series with LaHaye. I wonder how much of that
viewpoint will make it into the program.

Hymns? I'm a pre-Vatican II dinosaur and there wasn't much hymning going
on unless it was a High Mass -- to be avoided at all costs. It wasn't so
much the bells and whistles as that it was the last Mass on Sunday
morning. The others were scheduled at 7, 8, 9, etc so the priest was
operating under a time constraint of 40-45 minutes to allow for clearing
the last batch and getting the new batch in place.

I was lucky. The head priest was into horses and the young one was into
Gregorian chants and he was the one that handled the CYO.

I was surprised to find one of the local churches streams the Mass. Yeah,
there's a bunch of singing, versus populum, the wafer in your grubby
paws, civilians including women wandering around handing it out, and so
forth.

It probably was nicer before they ripped out the altar rail and did the
rest of the redecorating to make the Mass more 'approachable' or
something.

:-D Yeah, I got that moniker from my father. I and a friend would turn on the
blinkers, heater, wipers while he was in the store. Or we would take the car
out of Park and push it into a different parking space.

"Hoo boy, little beavers have been monkeying around in Daddy's car,
and they're going to be punished."

Actually, one time we got him on a sustained rant when we moved the car. He
railed that we "could roll over a 2 or 3-year-old kid... and CRUSH HIM".
From there he went on to railing about being sued for $500K, and it got worse
from there.

I caught it all on tape (we regularly brought our recorders and put the mike
under his seat, then trolled him). My mother (they were divorced) laughed and
laughed listening to them. So did my grandmother.

But one day I felt severe guilt and destroyed the tapes.

A few years ago I gave the Darwin Award to a couple of American teens -
each wearing some kind of body armor - who took turns shooting each
