It was an old machine, it still had the windows product key label stuck
on the side of the case. Even though I left windows behind years ago,
and only used windows for those programs that Wine has not got around to
yet.

I had prepared a couple of years in advance by buying a new machine and
getting it as ready as possible. When the time came I pulled the primary
mint drive from the old machine and plugged it into the new machine. IN
the time it takes to boot I was up and running with a new machine, with
all my old setups, installations, networks and printers. It should be
noted that the new machine was a step upward in the AMD CPU family and
the mother board was a later version of the ASUS family. Further notes:
I got an email from Amazon saying that a new machine had logged into my
account, and to disregard if it was me.
