First, many thanks for ongoing developer work! I've been using
SM/Mozilla/etc since the Netscape days. Just upgraded from 2.53.15 to
....17, and mail view has changed. Background of Folder and Thread panes
has been a light green for many years, have no record of how that was
done, if it's not default. After install of new SM release using
'Default theme, plain green background has changed to alternating lines
of green vs white, like the old bulk line-printer outputs.

Can anyone suggest a pref.js setting that I can look at, or any other
ideas that might help reset? Changing the view to Modern Theme restores
normal uniform green background, but reverting back to Default brings
the alternating green vs white again.

Hmm..
At this end with Win11 Pro 22H2, SM 2.53.17
- off-white/very light gray tone - Default
- gray/darker gray- Modern

Don't recall ever having green or green hued on this or 2 other devices
using SM.
- no special settings on Win11
