Make sure you have not enabled network.http.rcwn.enabled accidently. Also in a
test profile without additional add-ons?

FRG,

What is the point of Race Cache with Network? Is it to save bandwidth on
network servers or to speed up the browser, or for some other reason?

Also what is the issue/problem when it is enabled?

thx. for the hint. I checked, enabled network.http.rcwn.enabled = false.

But changed yesterday ?!? I definitively did not touch that.

I did some experiments toggling true / false using Text editor: the
effect I see with "true" reminds to my observations yesterday.

I will do additional tests ...

Should work now with this set to false. i don't know why this setting causes
it. Everything is in to make it work. Suspect some interaction with classic
add-ons Firefox didn't have when enablng it because they were gone by then.
I had it enabled for some time too but as you found out sometimes it just
hangs usually after an update. Maybe you had it enabled before some time ago.
Didn't have the time yet to further check.
