The mitthesis class formats an MIT thesis according to the current requirements
of the MIT Libraries. This class is new in 2023, and it is a complete
replacement for the original mitthesis.cls written in the 1980s.

In this update, text spacing on the cover page has been improved, including the
addition of user macros for finer control. Minor changes have been to the
underlying the underlying code, some for better compatibility with [future]
tagged pdf. Documentation has been revised.
