In recent days ads have started popping up with telehealthdave.com on
heading.

How do I get rid of these?

Turning off News and Interests seems to have worked, or maybe it was
uninstalling a MS Edge supplement that has sneaked in.

If you want us to help you, some additional information would be
useful -- such as, for instance, WHERE the ads are "popping up".

Large scale ads filling a third of right side of screen.
They're back. The Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime prog has been
re-instated, although News and Interests is still turned off.

If you go into Edge, Settings, Cookies & site permissions, Site permissions, All
sites, View permissions for sites you've visited

have you allowed Ads, Popups or Notifications from a dodgy site?

Thanks. I've emptied the whole cache, browsing data and cookies. No ads.
I certainly don't recall allowing anything; but I noticed that many of
the ads were for Adblock Plus.
They are a real pain in the neck. On my iPad Scrabble app there's a
large banner over the scoreboard, and Adblock Plus keep calling to
purchase their thing.
Tantamount to ransomware!

Are you _certain_ it was Adblock Plus? This is the first time I've
ever heard of their doing any advertising.

And "purchase"? It's free.

Are you sure it wasn't some other, similarly named product that was
advertising?

More likely for ransomware infected programs pretending to be adblock?

Total Adblock.
When you tap on it in the Scrabble ad banner, it takes you to a grinning
imbecile;
https://blog.totaladblock.com/block-ads-on-your-ipad/
and when you read the blurb, it's just a Safari add-on, not something
that will kill the Scrabble ad banner.
Another of the Adblock family is;
https://fnd.io/#/us/ios-universal-app/691121579-adblock-by-futuremind
That costs £1.79, claims to be more ubiquitous than a Safari add-on, but
will it kill the Scrabble ad banner?

In other words, a different piece of software with a similar name.
