*NOTE BENE*
Though I'm posting via a SeaMonkey 2.49.4 machine
_This_ post is about SeaMonkey *2.53.15*

I'm in the process of setting up up a new machine
It runs SeaMonkey 2.53.15 on Debian 11.3 (Bullseye).

I have two primary problems.

I want a profile that is BROWSER only.
Can ? How?
SeaMonkey 2.53.15 insists you use a mail &/or news account.
SeaMonkey 2.49.4 did not have that restriction.
On the first launch , it would ask how you wanted to use that profile.

Can I clear ALL cookies for ALL sites in a specific profile?
Or must I go through the sites individually?

TIA

How does it insist? If you just open it will show the browser window.

Make sure you do not launch it with -mail as a parameter.

Tools -> Clear Private Data -> Cookies. You might want to select Offline
Website Data too. In preferences you can set this to nuke the junk when you
close the browser.

FRG, during the installation process can you tell the Installer to ONLY
install the Browser Bits??

(I though it was possible and went to Edit -> Preferences -> Appearances
..... but, then realised, of course, that is ONLY useful AFTER having
done the installation!! ;-( With Updating, it's been sooooo long since
I've actually started an installation from scratch!! )

Operator Error ;<
I had included -mail in the command associated with Debian's Launcher.
That also effectively addresses the first issue also.

Thank you. I've rarely used the tools menu. The switch profile option
will be convenient for a current situation.
