Hi all,
even though I have been parrt of this newsgroup for years I am still not
an expert and have doubt...
First time I tried to install Mageia9 on a Dual Boot machine I had a
problem with the /boot/uefi...

Used Custom partition and kept the existing partition I had in Mageia8...

.... during installation when trying to create a mount point for /boot/uefi
as requested, when I clicked the scroll down menu there was no such
option on the list, did not know what to do so I click on Linux native
and was given the chance to type myself ' /boot/uefi ' and kept the same
size.

I thought everything went fine but when I rebooted Windows was not on the
boot menu, but Mageia8 and mageia9 where on it.

I tried through MCC but even there there was no way I could find an option
which allowed me to add Windows even though the option 'Checking for other
OS ' was clicked.

So , given that I have an external HD for all my important files and the
amount of data I had left was minimal and not so important, I decided to
reinstall everything again , this time deleting all partition and creating
all anew.

This time the option /boot/uefi ( or /boot/EFI dont remember ) was there
so I created it and everything went fine ...or so I thought...

[santo@localhost ~]$ df

I am bothered by the 204G of /var, I certainly did not create it... and I
do not understand the two /boot/uefi and /boot/EFI...

- the grub list also seems strange, wanted to post it here but was not
able to find it under /boot/GRUB.

below are the media sources I enabled, wondering if the 32bit are still
necessary and if what is needed is all there...

This UEFI partition is a bit strange. The UEFI distributions I install
ask for a /boot/efi partition.

n fact I was not sure about the whole outcome...so given that it was a
freshly new installation I decided to reinstall again, this time paying
more attentions...
