Yes, some do.

The trick is, that the post is trivial to spot it is a scam. You say
"nobody can be that dumb". But there are a percent of dumbs, tiny, that
do fall for it. And that's the people they want, dumb people, not clever
people. Not even half clever or normal people.

So they word it in a way that normal people don't fall for it, see the
scam at a mile.
