Back in the days of yore, there was a virtual font designed to typeset pinyin with virtual cm fonts (see Wong, on Tugboat 14-1, 1993); there is a pointer to a distributed pinyin.tar.z.uue file with the source. Any idea how can I get a grip on that work?
