I want to add a link to send an e-mail into a pdf document. For this I
use package hyperref and have in de .tex file:
\href{mailto:VideoBewerkingNederland@gmail.com}{VideoBewerkingNederland@gmail.com}

But when I click on this in the generated pdf I get:
Unable to open external link
The specified location is not supported

What am I doing wrong?

Well you didn't give a complete example and other details. If I
extend that to a minimal example and compile in a current texlive it
works fine for me in adobe reader.

Try if mailto links work for you in a browser.

That works. So it is not a problem with lualatex. It must be a problem
with my pdf viewer (Evince).
Need to go to another newsgroup.
Thanks.

There was a known problem with this on Linux (recently fixed, I believe)
where calls to XDG from a mailto: link in a browser or viewer simply
fired up a duplicate copy of the browser or viewer instead of running
the nominated MUA app. I never found out why, but someone probably
"fixed" something in one release, and fortunately managed to unfix it in
the next. So you might check by making sure all the relevant software is
up to date.

I am using Debian stable. They always lag behind. But I could install
a newer version from another repository.
(I have 3.38.2. The latest should be 42.2. They dropped the 3?)
