I know it can be done but have forgotten where this is done and have
spent more than hour looking for it.

Can anybody remind me?

I'm using Agent 8 which I think is the current (last?) version

If a "display window" means the window with 3 panes: folders,
message list, and message body, then you change the font sizes
here:

Tools >> Options >> Display >> Fonts

If you have more than one language in the "Languages" drop-down,
then each language will have its own separate font settings
*underneath* the drop-down. You will need to go through each
language and adjust its font size settings separately.

The font settings *above* the "Languages" drop-down are shared
between all languages.

The problem is that doesn't change the font on the spell checker. That
is the default window font and I am still waiting to hear how you do
that.
