Hi,

In the agent.ini file in the <NewsServers> section there is a list of
all the News Servers I have declared, each with a <Uid>x</Uid>

The server with <Uid>1</Uid> is also listed in the section:
[Servers]
NewsServer="news.free.fr"

Does this mean that this server is accessed first over other declared
news servers?

Is there any way to create a news server lookup order?

No.

Default lookup order for all newsgroups:

Folder >> Default Properties >> News Access Plan
[ Move Up ]
[ Move Down ]

Lookup order for a specific newsgroup:

(select folder) >> Folder >> Properties >> News Access Plan
[ Move Up ]
[ Move Down ]

Since I've been using Agent - as far as I remember, version 0.99 with
Windows 3.11 - I should have remembered.

Windows 3.1 was the reason I left DOS when I found out you could
have 3 (?) files open at the same time. Wow! That was the end of
DOS for me.
