I bet they have a standardized form factor.
Maybe someone knows before I have to take mine apart twice?

Or actual fan motor bearings?

The actual bearings. My system came quite corroded, and the bearings sound pretty scratchy.

The side with the DC motor in it doesn't seem to use bearings. Dunno
about the other end.
