I'm using Agent 6.0.

Is it possible to write a kill filter with an exception? I'd like to
killfile all posts that come from someone with a gmail.com address
except for one or more exceptions.

Put the exception in a higher-priority filter.
If two filters match a message, Agent only runs the one filter with the
higher priority.

Ralph's solution is (as usual) best. But, for completeness I should
mention that you can use AND NOT in a filter expression.

Thinking about this some more, I decided not to do it, neither Ralph's
way nor yours. I went through all the newsgroups I use, and found
lots of exceptions. Moreover, I realized that occasionally someone new
with a gmail address comes to a newsgroup, and if his posts were
valuable, I'd miss them. But let me thank both of you for your
suggestions again.

I'll just have to live with the gmail spammers.
