I use reledmac to critically edit a Sanskrit text. Besides the critical notes I need the familiar notes to give references to some passages, which should leave footnotemarks in the text. My question is: How can I make these familar footnote to appear in one line. Since the normal footnote with the setting "\usepackage[para]{footmisc}" did not work, I tried with \arrangementX[A]{paragraph}, neither did it work. Can any experienced user of the reledmac give me suggestions?

I read that post, it is said there "You could use familiar footnote (\footnoteA, \footnoteB), but reledmac
does not provide customization for \footnote." This seems to mean that a paragraphed familiar footenote is impossble. Hope that this feature will be added in future.

In fact you can use this feature with the package bigfoot and add in
your preamble:

\usepackage{bigfoot}
\DeclareNewFootnote[para]{default}

thanks for the reply. I tried bigfoot, it does not work with reledmac, the [para]-setting is ignored. I tried also with \DeclareNewFootnote[para]{A}[alph], no success.
