In case you did not know a newer version of Iris is available to download
from PlingStore, if you got yours that way.

It's confusing if you go to the https://www.riscosdev.com/ Iris page.

The latest is labelled

Iris-Feb2022-forObrowsers.zip 19-May-2022 17:25 57M

but when downoaded and running, Info shows 1.020 (23-January-2022).

Why don't they keep things in step?

I now have Iris v 1.020 23 Jan 2022 and I noticed my OS had gone back
after trying to install ROD_TCIP_ which was unsuccessful & corrupted the
OSĀ  now dated 01 Feb 22. I have now been able to log in to Apple icloud
drive and download a.gpx file & load it in to RISCOSM.
Next I need help to install ROD_TCIP 7
Thanks

I thought Elesar's client used the Swiss pCloud service, as opposed to
Apple's iCloud?

I have updated Iris to 1.020 and re-installed OS upgrade 20 that was
damaged in my attempts to install ROD_TCIP_7. Which I have still not
managed to install.

I can now sometimes log on to iCloud drive and down load files but most of
the time it times out because it is too slow. I wonder if a Forte2 might
be better? Theo is correct of course. No problem connecting to Flickr or
SmugMug though.

My understanding is pCloud is what they use. Excuse my ignorance where
does Apple's iCloud fit into this?

Clicking Menu over !OmiClient's iconbar icon and then selecting Info >
Cloud reports: Cloud filing system client; Elesar Ltd, 2016; Version
0.33 (08-Feb-21).

Is this ROD_TCP 7.01 or the older 7 if the older one then get the newer
version.

What computer is this on? What is the error if any? Have you followed the
instructions to the letter, remembering to disable any start-up network
apps while you install it and it goes through its two reboots.

Have you reported the issue on the Issues website?

Have you run the debug program with in the Zip file?

iCloud is an Apple product. Is an important access point for photos &
files created on iPhones and iPads. That's why I want to connect to it.

Chris Craig was wanting to use !Iris with Apple iCloud not pCloud -
entirely different cloud services.

Thank you Chris. I have tried again & have a debug file & reported the
issue. ARMX6 5.29 Feb 22 TCIP 7.01. I updated Omni & LanMan98 is 2.08.
Can not see where to send debug file. Luckily the uninstaller seem to work
and I can get back on line. What other "network app" should I be looking
for? Is LanMan98 the problem & what about Unicontrol/Uniprint?

Sorry Chris - heaven knows why but I read your original mail as pCloud

ROD will probably contact you for the debug file.

Network apps would include anything that is in your startup boot sequence,
like LanMan98, Hermes, Access Shares, etc. since they might be trying to
access the internet/network while it's trying to install the new software.
So temporarily stop them running at startup. then try the install.

But what error are you getting and when, we might be able to assist in
resolving the issue.

Thanks, here is a snippet from my debug file. Wuo should I send it to?

"Error block: 80000002 Internal error: abort on data transfer at
&FC3A0F18"

The rest is rather long.

Errors I get "Int error. No stack handler: Int error: abort on data
transferat FC3A0F18, pc=: registers at 000150FC"

Error from class ps: Int errorat FC3A0F18 in "squished. support PS"
ARMX6 OS 5.29

Any suggestion?
