My 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 does. It never did this before its Edge updated to
v97. I can't figure out where it is causing it. :(

System and Performance : Startup Boost ?

Try turning that off, and then it won't be running
in the background right after startup.

I don't see a setting "Hijack Computer", so that's not it :-)

It is already off. I even checked Windows' services and startup. :(
