I'm told that [Bug 1673446] is fixed in release 118 on, and ESR 115.

That's the "can't have a OAUTH login or all the password
accounts will forget their passwords every few minutes." issue.

I've long awaited it but wonder what the tradeoffs are between them?

Too bad you didn't link to the bug. I'm not going to trudge through looking.

As you would hope, there's evidence at the end that it got
backported to ESR.

Thunderbird 115.2.3:
https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-esr115/rev/0a654fe70f36
https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-esr115/rev/3ad3cc8e1b0b
status-thunderbird_esr115: affected → fixed

If you're on 115, I would assume an update would have
delivered this functionality to you.

Paul

I almost gave up reading. TL;DR but I skimmed, it's 3 yrs old and pointing at TB78. But did get to
the bottom after fast scrolling and see that it is fixed.
Sure was a complex issue.
