Lately, a month or so, I've been nagged to enter the password on hotmail
when I first start TB. When this happened this morning, I had to click
'retry' on 3 prompts. Afterwards I sent myself from myself and it
worked with no issues.

So the account is setup right, TB just has issues on the first run. IMAP.
Any ideas?

The takeaway was to simply change from normal to OAuth2 in in/outgoing.
Once done, the next pole just popped up the MS login and that was it.
I tested a restart and no issue. Time will really tell.
