In about:preferences > privacy > history > use custom seetings

"remember search and form history" is unchecked, and in settings for
clearing history, "automatically clear form & search history" is
checked.

Nevertheless, closing Firefox with CTRL+Q (to exit all processes), then
restarting it, search history has not been cleared.

I've experienced this with recent versions. I forgot when first noticed
this. Can anyone else recreate this?
