Thanks, Mister Schleck, some groups of that list seem interesting by their name. Their frequency of activity, quality of content, moderation against irrelevant messages, or other characteristics, of course remain to be seen, but knowing that they exist is already a step forwards. Unfortunately, those of us who are forced to access News Network Transfer Protocol from an Apple IPad tablet lack good software for the purpose. There are very few NNTP clients available and the very few are not particularly good. A solution is installing a Linux emulator for Apple IPad (such as A-Shell or Ish), and installing an NNTP client in the emulator. Another solution is the interface from the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol of the World Wide Web to NNTP. I am at the moment using the second solution. It is limited, but better than nothing.
