My model 80 has stopped working, and it seems to be the planar that is dead.
The power supply has been tested in another system, and it works fine.
I have done some probing on the board, but i have not been able to find the fault.

So the big question is, where is it possible to find a new planar - it could be any type for the model 80. Because I have got a Kingston 486 Now installed in the system.
I have found 2 planars on Ebay, but with import taxes and shipping it will be very expensive..

Best regards
Carsten - Denmark

Nothing on the parallel port? No bus/CPU activity at all?

"Some probing" is a bit vague. Here's where I would start looking:

1) Check all of the voltage rails on the system board, you only need a multimeter for this. My first thought is one of the tantalum capacitors shorting to ground.
2) Look for the CPU RESET line toggling (need logic probe or oscilloscope).
3) Look for data bus/address bus activity (again, need probe or o-scope).
