I almost never run Edge but I just tried opening it and running
YouTube there.

No ads. I'll probably just use Edge for YouTube from now on and forget
about the problems with FireFox.

Some web behaviors are not based on absolutes.

Google counts the number of times you used an adblocker,
and the message may show after some period of usage.

The intention is not to make the behavior reproducible.
Imagine if the behavior was absolute, and you just sat
around testing your weapons, one by one. How nice...

i.e. you will get ads in Edge operating without ad blocking add-ons or
extensions. Variation regarding ads in the YT viewing window and side
panel will and has always existed on YT.
