And that's a problem to be solved by Thunderbird users?

Based on the useragent in his post, he's a Windows user.

He could at least do a "winver.exe" and mention the Windows
version string.

And the version of Betterbird (Help or About, sort of thing),
might be of value to the Betterbird rep here.

*******

Use Winlister.

https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/winlister.html

Highlight the program. It should say "Location: Minimized"

Right-click, select "Switch to", to try to open it.

There is no particular reason that should work, but you
can try it.

I think I just got a demo of your bug. Yikes!

I'm in Windows 11 Home. The last Windows Update was Nov.15 and
the windows Update would have you believe nothing has come in
since that date.

I was doing a File Explorer search demo, to see whether the OS
could find some content, without having an index generated for
C: or not.

I was running Task Manager.

The content search was running fine in File Explorer. Maybe
six cores where showing significant CPU activity.

Then... all of a sudden, the CPU activity on the cores dropped,
like "a knob turned and scaled the effort".

So I go to close Task Manager, I click the "X". It won't close...

I look at my Thunderbird. I iconify. I hold my mouse over the
Thunderbird icon. It shows two windows are there. But instead
of showing the window contents, it shows a kinda blank window,
like compositing in the display system is broken. When I try
to get the window to re-appear, it... won't... open...

Somewhere within the last couple days, I'd read that "Microsoft
had done something to save power". I had also noticed about
a day ago, the Kill-O-Watt power meter that monitors this
PC, was showing 42 watts, when it normally shows about 48 watts
at idle.

Now, my tasks weren't idle. One of the tasks, was using quite a
bit of CPU, when suddenly it appeared as if a knob had been turned,
to turn down the effort. If there is some "eco logic" in Windows 11
right now, it appears to be busted. Build 22621.2715

Rename it "Lazybird".

Quite easy to analyse with such an overwhelming quantity of information!

Windows 10 V 22H2 (OS build 19045.3693)
Betterbird now 115.5.1 but I think it was the previous version at the
time (Yesterday)
I also think it has happened with Thunderbird in the past.
