Hi, I have this weird problem ever since upgrading to 115.4. all of a
sudden my extensions and themes were gone. I install them, then quit,
open TB again and poof ! it's gone. I searched but have not encountered
a similar bug on the support forums. I waited to 115.4.2 befire I send
this question.
Should I start a fresh profile ? I hesitate because I have tons of
settings customized and it's quite the hassle to re-create everything.

You could run thunderbird -P and make a new profile beside the current one, not hurting the current one. And then add a
bunch of your add-ons and exit. Then go back and see if they get removed.

I don't have any issue with losing add-ons. I have 6 copies of Thunderbird on diff machines, all 115.*

Thanks ! it was easier than I thought it would be. I followed the above,
then imported everything from the older profiles and everything seems to
work fine. I did have to install all the add-ons and set their prefs,
which was a bummer. but a small price to pay compared with not having
them in the first place !

Cool. Now a month or two later when the dust settles, run the thunderbird -P and delete the old profile. Let's say, at
least you can if space is an issue. It's not usually that big.
