Well, if that's your bag, man, then that's your bag.
You'll have to apportion lots of time to keep reading updates and then
applying them to your thing. Quite apart from whatever dreams you have
of using the open-source code.
Are you a Linux fanboy? Of which there are so many varieties and flavours.
Or maybe a trainee programmer?

Either way I think you're on a course that would be detrimental to the
T/B.bird project.

So, to you, these projects are so fragile that someone leveraging
their software freedom as these projects do is (in some unidentified
way) harmful. What a desperate and paternalistic bid to get people to
treat software freedom as a threat instead of a promise.
