BlueSCSI is about 1MB/s throughput currently, but super low latency. It's great for older systems. I've been meaning to try it out on some of my PS/2s.

There are older PS/2s with 5MB/s on the system board. Something in that
range would be sufficient.

Unfortunately, IBM never made any narrow/fast SCSI adapters [other than
4-4 for RS/6000]. Love to see the throughput of a 5MB/s on a Patriot.

Wonder what the "feel" of a Spock with a mechanical HDD compared to a
AzulSCSI / BlueSCSI SD combo. At the start of the transfer, the BlueSCSI
should beat the pants off an actual HD. However, in time the thundering
herd will overwhelm the BlueSCSI. BUT... how often is the HD actually
used to pass lots of data...

Adding a buffer to the BlueSCSI of a size to offset the lower speed
MIGHT be gainful. Perhaps comparing the disk to adapter sustained
transfer rates would be a good target to shoot for?

Later versions could improve the transfer.
