I don't think it does remember the expand/collapse states per thread,
but it has does seem to have made a change so they all start collapsed
after changing folders, which is an improvement as far as I'm concerned.

I'd take collapsed over expanded. Besides, a lot of the messages are bickering and off topic usually after the 20th
post or so.
