TSMC, which makes chips for Apple devices, has unveiled a new 1.6nm
chipmaking process which will provide a 8-10% speed improvement, a
15-20% power reduction at the same speed, and up to 1.10X chip density
improvement for data center products. (Apple's current chips use a 3nm
process.)

They're also working on a 1.4nm process, which would see further improvements.
