I updated to macOS Sonoma 14.4 on my M1 iMac, and iMazing.app now hangs
with the beachball of despair when I click the "Manage Apps" button,
requiring me to Force Quit the Application. This problem exists in both
iMazing 2.17.17 and Beta version 3.0.0. I have submitted a report to
iMazing Support.

Can anyone out there either validate or debunk whether iMazing works on
your Mac under the latest version of Sonoma?

The trial version downloaded from the developer's site runs OK on my M1 Mac
now updated to macOS 14.4.

Thanks for the feedback. If I don't hear back from iMazing Support soon, I
may have to go in a clear some caches. Something like this happened at
once or twice before, and clearing things and resetting other things may
have helped. I just don't want to lose my main settings.

Just updated my 2019 Mac Pro to 14.4 and iMazing 2.17.17 runs fine here.

Software NOT approved by Apple.

How do YOU know that it doesn't contain malware?

Hearsay?
Or do you use anti-malware software to check?

Thanks for the datapoint JR.

iMazing Support responded with clear iMazing's cache; reinstall iMazing. I
added restart iMac to the mix. Performed several times; no joy.

I'm going to try a full macOS reinstall, but to acquire the full installer
I need to go to an offsite location where the WiFi flows like sweet wine.

If worst comes to worst I can trash all traces of iMazing, and start from
scratch. I really do not want to do that quite yet.

Are you suggesting that there are TWO items of software with the same name?

Version 3 looks likely to be a useful upgrade but that’s probably not going
to solve your current issues :(

Nope. Neither of them is iMazing, and only an idiot would think they are
the same thing. You're trolling, as usual.

None of your business, but certainly neither of the apps you mentioned.

Stay stupid, David.

That's your response? Pointing to the Facebook page of the developer who
created two apps that try to piggyback on the iMazing name but don't do
anything that iMazing actually does? 🤣 You're a fucking clueless troll.

You're not fooling anyone here with you little distraction. If your
objective here is to make yourself look like a complete fool, you're
doing an excellent job. Keep it up!

These names are in fact different, idiot:

- iMazing
- iMazing Converter
- iMazing Profile Editor

They still aren't the same app, doofus.

You can reinstall over what you have without losing anything. I'd
definitely try that first.

Does iMazing launch properly in a brand-new macOS user account? If so,
you know the issue is likely something cached in your account.

No, software that simply isn't published on the App Store - big
difference.

Because I'm not a noob like you. I'm a software developer. I monitor
what apps do on my computer, and through my network. iMazing isn't
malware and doesn't communicate with server except for software updates
- and I prevent those connections until I'm ready to update.

OK - THREE Apps!

Two have been vetted and approved by Apple.

There's another App which has NOT been vetted and approved by Apple.
A possible candidate for spreading malware. Who has checked?

Why are you not convinced by the link on the Facebook page?

Distraction from ...... WHAT, exactly?

I did not mention it before, but I had a suspicion that I had gotten a
"dirty" download of the latest Sonoma update. A full macOS re-install made
iMazing behave again. Strange that I never noticed any other apps
misbehaving.

Some more details, if anyone cares: I generally do System updates in a
two-step process using the "softwareupdate" command in Terminal: 1)
download; 2) install/restart. I do it that way because it seems a little
more reliable on my early 1950s copper wire DSL connection. This last time
I was fighting for bandwidth with something else. Even though the macOS
download said it completed without error, that must not have been true. It
even installed without complaint. In the future I must be more careful.

It's not malware. You're just an idiot troll.
