I can completely understand that. In the Russia vs Ukraine conflict
many countries decided to sanction Russia. This might also apply if
China acts in a way that the USA dislikes (e.g. against Taiwan). Using
their own hardware will make them more independent.

I can also see American doing the same to China, so we are currently in
a phase of "not going to use anyone's stuff but my own." I'm sure the
tide will swing back the other way soon enough.
