It was great :)

5 full minutes of total eclipse. My first time in my life. It had to
come right above me for me to see it, as I wasn't that crazy about it to
travel.

I was at the parking lot of a grocery store when it began to become
really dim. Then together with a bunch of people we waited till it
comes. Others had paper glasses for it but I could not find my very dark
sunglasses, so I had to just wait till it becomes total, then it lasted
at least 5 minutes!

Two Mexican little shitters were watching it and going this way and that
way with their paper glasses and getting excited and stuff like, "Del
sol este mucho pequito!" They were just before school age, so they
weren't at that time of the day in school. I bet those in schools had
all sorts of programs arranged for them to observe it.

There were two exceptional features about this occasion that I noticed.
The perceived diameter of the Moon was larger than that of the Sun, so
duration of total eclipse was pretty long and almost the maximum that it
can get, taking the moods of everything around right into 10 pm at
night, causing store signs and street lights automatically come up.
Another thing was the size of the amazing corona despite the fact that
part of it also was covered by Moon (chromosphere was totally missing of
course - you'd see that in annular eclipses). It was much larger than
the pictures of solar eclipse one finds in books. Sun is near its
maximum and therefore those areas around it have vastly expanded. I
tried to see if I could catch any movements, I saw a few slow movements
but it was by all probability the very thin cloud of various thicknesses
drawing a random movement inside the corona.

Also it happened when Sun was almost vertically up (1:40 pm DST local
time - 12:40 pm regular time), so much less atmosphere was blocking the way.

The intensity of light in the corona was like you were looking at the
regular Moon (no dark glasses needed). But as soon as an intensely
bright dot appeared at a spot on the diameter of the black Moon, I had
to stop seeing the event and walked inside the grocery store. If I had
my very dark sunglasses, I would watch much more before and after the
total phase.

Also I forgot all about it that I had placed my powerful binocular in
the gloves compartment of the car to use it for this occasion :) The
scene had taken my attention (and breath) totally away. So I missed
using it. People were filming and photographing it, etc. But those stuff
would take my attention away.

It was still great.

China has beaten Amazon to it. They've created a much cheaper way of
handling boxes inside distribution plants. Part of what made Amazon big
was their innovations in that same field, and nobody so far had a better
system, until now :-)

In this clip, the Iranian is describing some of the Russian words that
have already entered Persian lexicon. This isn't that much of a disaster
for Persian cause Russian words are close to Persian anyway. For
instance, the word Samovar that the Russian wife is breaking into Samo
(self) and var (to boil), its var part is also Persian for swelling,
which is close to a boil process.

That Russian woman needed to put some make up on, gee. I bet his husband
didn't let her. She needs to make herself less looking like the fucking
Putin for wife. Yuck.

Armenia is creating a consulate in Tabriz :) What did I say..

A lot is in store. Much more than what could get done by flying to and
from Armenia in Tehran.

And guess what. Iran has also just opened an additional consulate in
Armenia for exactly the same reasons. This one in city of Ghapan. Things
are fast going the correct way.

Another anti-Nazi development: They banned hiring women for secretary
positions higher than a certain level up in government ministries and
other government agencies. They've arrested so far some of them spying
for NATO.

All the present female secretaries in such key offices are to be removed
within two weeks.

Women have always been the first choice for intelligence gathering. Much
better social engineering skills. I'm glad the recent events prompted
those lazy asses to do something about this after 40 fucking years. My
own sister (architect) had told me a few years back how easy it was to
access future plans of ministry of urban development, and was worried if
that was also the case in other ministries. Not only the employees
themselves could put such information into use as where to invest their
money in advance when it was still cheap to do so, such information had
foreigner customers also cause the road systems of Iran is handled by
that same ministry. And road system is a vital part of defense (or
offense) plans.

So I was spitting at those who were in charge in such ministries already
back then. Clerics are strange kind of individuals. Too self-assured and
too lazy, and especially too ignorant.

The Israeli response (Mama se response) also has created a wave of
concerns and improvements that will come shortly in the defense of the
country. One of their missiles managed to go through three layers of
defense to reach Esfahan. In a nuclear scenario, this is obviously
insufficient.

The s300 itself isn't the only one at fault, as Iran already began
building improved versions of it beginning in 2019. But these improved
versions also, from Kermanshah to Esfahan, failed to stop that missile.
So this thing is a definite plus for the defenses, and they'll find ways
to prevent that from happening again. The s300 is known by Iranians to
have features hidden in its electronic system to work for what Russians
want. It's a Russian device. But the improved copies which do not have
such features in them failed also.

Israel has started the count down on destruction of Iran, to be
accomplished by October 28, 2028 :-)

It was not because Sonnis were stupid or intellectually challenged or
anything like that. It was because they feared the same thing could
happen to Islam that had happened to other religions after some time had
passed. They did not want what they already had to get deteriorated into
another Penis X. So they decided to preserve it.

They could do that because they were Arabs. Iranians would prefer the
intellectual aspects of Islam, so they decided to follow Mohammad's last
sermon and kept working on it.

Houthis have uploaded the recording of their Israeli ship hit yesterday
that was made by the onboard camera of their Samad 1 drone :) Everything
about it is low quality except its dead on bull's eye hit right where
its captain enjoys the sceneries outside.

They've used Samad 1 (and the later 2 and 3 versions) on all sorts of
targets in the past 5 or 6 years. From Saudi and Emarate targets to
Israeli and American targets, all.

There's no news whether the Ship caught fire or what the damages has
been. This ship had lied to Houthis some days back saying they were
going through Suez Canal and had nothing to do with Israel, but it was
detected to go straight to Eilat, Israel port. So on its way back
Houthis gave it to them.

Iran has very similar drones to this one. Almost identical, and with
various different features. Both Samad 1 and the Iranian versions can
land too, so if loitering doesn't result a find and a hit, it just comes
back and lands at home before the fuel is used up. So it never gets
wasted like Shaheds sometimes do. Very interesting design. Cheap and
effective.

is continuing sailing.

But sailing away :-) I don't think that crook captain will ever get that
ship within Yemen's reach again.

But what has already made my day is this. Elham Aliev, your man running

defense in Israel. Israel also tested their air defense against Iranian

saying Patriots won't do it! They found out their own missiles worked

Forget the newsgroup, Linux itself has attracted all sorts of people.
Many of us really believed that it was and was going to be a tool with
which to fight some of the worst practises of corporations and
surveillance agencies. We thought that its developers were advocates of
every form of freedom, especially speech, and that they would have some
common sense.

Instead, we have developers prioritizing "diversity" and "equity" in the
programming staff over competence, and advocating for censorship of
anyone who doesn't believe that there are as many genders as people
farting every day. It's embarrassing. Luckily, you can use the code
however you wish and don't need to compensate these losers in any way
for their work. It is nonetheless demoralizing how much power these
clowns were given in the development community.

There are idiots and assholes everywhere, in corporations and in the
FOSS community.

What makes FOSS great is that that there is always the ability to
branch the code and take it in the direction that you want. No need
for "committee" approval.

You quote Andrzej as saying others are claiming that there are
billions of genders. No one has claimed that. No one is really
asserting, as one example, trans women as a unique gender, but a
variation on the female gender generally. I think when one is
suggesting a unique "abnormal" gender, they're phobes. Trans women
