V2.53.17.1's internal updaters show Failed ???Failed (unknown reason)??? in

I noticed this in Mac Sonoma, but didn't really think too much about it.
My Linux Mint installation upgraded via ubuntuzilla, and I haven't yet
tried to upgrade my main Win64 installation.

Yup, the Update repository is carrying 2.53.18. Three days from release
is pretty much a record, two to three weeks is more like normal.

That was a side-effect of British English Language pack remaining at the
old version. The Debian/MX package detected the incompatibility but it
remained enabled with the seamonkey-mozilla-build install.

Maybe extension compatibility checking options differ between the two
installations, though.
